Our Story

We opened the first Maoz Vegetarian in Manhattan, in beautiful Union Square, back in 2007. For more than 10 years, we've been providing our neighbors, friends and visitors with a trusted source of fresh, healthy, affordable and delicious falafel, salads and juices.

Our kiosk in Central Park at the Harlem Meer soon followed and is still one of the most picturesque spots in NYC to enjoy a healthy lunch.

In 2015 we opened our first location on Long Island, in the beautiful new Dining District at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City. Come see what a $200 million dollar food court looks like - you can even dine at the outdoor patio near a firepit!

The beautiful thing about having a fresh toppings bar of delicious ingredients is that you can change up the flavor of your salad or sandwich every day. We love our falafel with pickles and chickpeas on Monday and pickled eggplant with roasted cauliflower on Tuesday. The possibilities are endless!

Our locations are Cup K® Kashrus Certified (Kosher Pas Yisrael). You don't have to be religious to love Kosher. The New York Times says that more people are choosing kosher for health, food safety, taste, vegetarianism, lactose intolerance, or to satisfy other requirements, like halal. Who knew?
